Mid-Week Inspiration Post

Hello crafty friends!!

Time again for another mid-week inspirational post @ FTHS!

We have some fun and exciting things coming up in the next couple of months :) Faith has some wonder new images in the works, as well as some fun blog hops too! So make sure you check back often to see what's happening.

This week I decided to once gain us the current sketch challenge.
I really like this image as it is so versatile and fun to color. I also used the coordinating digital papers that can be found in the FTHS store as well.
The DDP includes six papers. Within minutes you will be creating with your new paper. Download once, and print again and again. Never run out of your favorite designer paper! On my card I used 3 of the papers found within that set.

Paper: FTHS Every Flower Digital paper
Coloring Medium: Copics
Other Supplies: atyou Spica pens 02 Pink & 05 Lemon, Lawn Fawn Stitched Borders die, Memory Box Stitched Rectangle Layers die, Die-Namics Blueprint 21 die

I had a lot of fun printing & putting this 'springy" card together.

My fellow design team members have some wonderful creations to share as well. I hope to will take the time to stop by and give some love and we enjoy hearing your comments: )

And DON'T FORGET....there are still a couple of days left to join us for our SOTM challenge. You can check out the details here.

Thanks for stopping by!!

Challenge #275

It's Wednesday and you know what that means!
Time for another challenge @ Penny's :)

This week challenge is:

Theme - Sew Charming
(Use some stitching faux or real and/or a metal charm)

I got you use another wonderful image from Lacy Sunshine. As soon as I seen this image - I pictured the green and purple palette on which my card is based. And some subtle shimmer. It is hard to see, but I did put some shimmer on her wings. I would have loved to have put her 'on some clouds' like she was floating. But I am still working on how to add those to the backgrounds of my images. I am thinking I just don't have the right shade of blue ink. Plus, I am sure there is some way in Photoshop or another program to do it as well. One of these days I will play :)

As you can see I went w/faux stitching. That is another thing I want to get into on my cards. Once my craft room gets clean....LOL!!! I really do need to do some MAJOR spring cleaning!

Paper: Black cardstock, green & purple textured card stock

Did you get the SOTM?

If you joined the challenge in March, you should have received Time to Bloom via email. This challenge closes on the last day of the month, and a new image will be posted and emailed by the 3rd of next month.

If you missed out, you can still play along with the challenge by purchasing the image. Then you can enter the challenge and receive next month’s digi free. OR if you spend $10 in the From The Heart Stamps store this month, you can enter code TICK-TOCK to receive Time to Bloom as a FREE gift.
*Only one offer per person, please. Make sure your purchase doesn’t include this image or you will receive 2. Thank you!

Here is my creation. I went with the current sketch challenge as well, but did not include the twist. I have lots of washi tape, but what I have just didn't really 'match' what I had going on.

Challenge #274

Time for another challenge @ Penny's !!

This weeks challenge is:

 Challenge #274
Anything Goes

I got to use this adorable image from A Random Fan. While at a scrapbooking retreat a few weekends back, I stopped in the gift store attached to where we stayed at. She had some scrapbooking stuff (not a ton) but a few things to look at.

I happened to be coloring this image at the time and when I saw this paper pad I was like "I HAVE to get this". The stack has a sheet with pink mopeds on it just like the image - how perfect!! Although, not until I posted this pic did I realize that I put the strip with the mopeds on it - upside down :( Oops

Anyway - I hope you like how it turned out!

Mid-Week Inspiration @ FTHS

Hello crafty friends!

Welcome to my 2nd post of the day :)

This is another one of my cards I got done during my scrapbooking retreat this past weekend. Myself and 2 girlfriends had an awesome time staying up late, acting goofy and making some new crafty friends!

It was a 4 day, 3 night retreat not too far away for us, but just far enough to relax, enjoy each others company and get some card making done :) We had a blast and can't wait to go back there again soon!

So, here is my card for this week. As you can see I also included this weeks sketch challenge as well as the twist.

Challenge #273

Welcome back to Penny's Paper Crafty challenge!!

This week our challenge is~

Challenge #273
Anything Goes

At first, I thought this image was a little outside my 'comfort' zone. As I am not into the whole Goth thing. And I don't have to be into Goth to enjoy this image, but I debated on how I wanted to color her. For some reason - the greens and purple came to me when I saw this image. As well as the sad look upon her face. So I thought a "Miss You" card would be perfect!

I hope you like how it turned out.

Image: Goth Girl
Paper: We R Memory Keepers ~ Anthologie
Color Medium: Copics
Other Supplies: Avery Elle ~ Wonky Stitches die circle & rectangle, Memento Ink ~ Grape Jelly, atyou pica pen ~ 06 Melon, EK Success Slim Edger Punch Dotted Scallop

I really like how the sequins gives it just enough 'pop' without taking away from the image. And of course my fav color is purple :)

As always - make sure you stop by the rest of the DT and check out their amazing work. And our wonderful sponsors as well!!

Challenge #272

Happy Hump day!!
Time for another challenge @ Penny's Paper Crafty Challenge.

 This weeks challenge is:

Challenge# 272
Anything Goes

I got you use this cute little girl from Lemon Shortbread. She can be used to create so many wonderful cards. Birthday, Valentine's, Best Wishes, Thinking of you or just a Happy Mail like I did here.

There are so many people that still like to get a card thru the "snail mail". Just a little 'pick me up' or 'thinking of you' card is so nice to get.

April Blog Hop at From The Heart Stamps

We have a Sweet Treat Theme this month.

As you hop along, please leave a comment on each blog. One random commenter will be selected on each blog to win an image of choice from the FTHS store.

We are having a little twist this month! Some of our designers are adding some sparkly sequins to their projects. As you move through the hop, count up how many sequins were used among all the cards. Email your answer to Faith:(faith@fromtheheartstamps.com) for a chance to win a $15 voucher to the FTHS store!

If you have arrived from Lyn, you are in the right place. If not why don’t you start on the From the Heart Stamps blog, so you don’t miss anything!

Here is my project:

Paper: the Paper Studio ~ Eat Cake
Coloring Medium: Copics
Other Supplies: Spellbinders Celebrations Pierced Circle die, Mama Elephant ~  Tags a Lot Creative Cuts die, atyou Spica pen 03 Red, Clear Star Gelly Roll pen, Sequins

I went for bright colors when I made my card. It just seemed fitting with this cute little monster :)  And I also followed the current sketch challenge as well.

Now head over to Ruth and see what she has created.

Thanks for hopping with us today. The hop will end on Sunday April 10th at 6 am EST. Winners will be posted on the From the Heart Stamps Blog on Wednesday April 13th.
