Challenge #308

It's Wednesday & time for another

This weeks challenge is:

Challenge # 308
Christmas

This week the whole team got to use some wonderful images from
Lacy Sunshine. This one helped me get another one of my Christmas cards checked off my list :)

I went with the 'traditional' Christmas colors of red & green. But I didn't want them to be flashy or overbearing. I wanted more of a softer look.

Hope you like it!

Can you believe it's only 19 more days til Christmas? Not sure about you - but time seems to be flying by and I feel like I am so far behind!! I have the next couple of Fridays off so hoping to get caught up.

In the meantime - I got to use another wonderful image from Little Blue Button Stamps. I just couldn't resist using this little cutie!! She's acting silly - just like I do when my grandkids are around. I love being silly with them - it's so much fun :)

Here is my card

Other Supplies: Spellbinders Celebrations Pierced Circle die, Stamps of Life Mittens 2 stamp & die, Memento Ink Pear Tart & Angel pink, Color Box Robin's Egg, Impression Obsession Die 319-K , Stickels Crystal, Queen & Co pearls, Darice twine

I hope you like the tag I created. As I was a little short on time, it's not quite what I had in mind. But I think given the circumstances, it turned out pretty good :)

Well, I hope you got out and voted yesterday!
I was #1648 at my polling station.

Now on to the challenge! This week we got to use some adorable images from Lacy Sunshine. I had a lot of fun creating this weeks card. About a month ago I went on a scrapbooking retreat with my girlfriends. We had SO much fun!! And I got a lot of complements on how this card turned out. I must say I like the way it turned out also. I will have to make some more shaker cards soon!

I shook it up a bit and laid it down so you could see the awesome "snow".

Paper: American Crafts - Merry Mint
Color Medium: Copics
Other Supplies: Darice Bakers Twine, Your Next Stamp Circles w/Stitching & Piercing Marks die, Stampendous Fran-tage Shaved Ice (snow), Your Next Stamp Snowflake die

I believe this is my 1st time using a Digital Papercraft image. I picked out this sweet lil girl. She could be used in so many different ways! I put just a little sparkle on her headband and dress to make it pop. And picked some roses to kind of go with the background DP.  I hope you like it :)

Halloween is of course my FAVORITE holiday!!
And I was excited when I got to use this fun image from Lacy Sunshine. This past weekend I was on a scrapbooking retreat w/my girlfriends. We had a blast and made lots of great memories. This was one of the images I has intended on taking along to do, but had forgotten it at home. SO, sorry this card was a little "rushed". Hope you like it :)

Challenge #299

It's Wednesday & time for another

This weeks challenge is:

Challenge # 299
Anything Goes

Once again I was lucky enough to work with a Bugaboo image! I LOVE fall and all the wonderful autumn colors and cooler temps. My husband & I celebrated our 24th anniversary this past weekend with our annual fall colors day trip. This year we also took in some waterfalls.

We traveled to the UP of Michigan. Most of the colors where the yellows, with an occasionally orange or red mixed in. But still a beautiful site :)

So, that was my inspiration for this weeks card. I hope you like it!

This weeks challenge is:

Challenge # 298
Anything Goes

I had a hard time choosing which image to use. This set comes with 2 "versions". Dirty Darcy and Zombie Darcy. And with Halloween coming up - the zombie one would have been perfect! But instead I opted for the Dirty Darcy image. I left it without a sentiment for right now. Not really sure how I want to 'use' it yet :)

Challenge #297

It's Wednesday & time for another

This weeks challenge is:

Challenge # 297
Winter / Christmas

I got to use a cute image from A Random Fan! I can't believe it's almost the end of September! And you can tell Christmas is right around the corner. A lot of the retail store have or are in the process of setting up their holiday displays.

I almost ALWAYS make the normal shaped cards. So I thought I would do something different and went with a circle card. I thought it would go great with the scene of them decorating the tree.

I hope you like it!

Paper: American Crafts Merrymint paper stack
Color medium: Copics
Other Supplies: Spellbinders Celebrations Pierce Circle die, IO die 319-K Pine sprigs, atyou Spica pen 12 Silver & 21 Lipstick, Stickles Holly, Glossy Accents, Memento Ink Bamboo Leaves, Smooch Pearlized Top Coat, Hero Arts D140 Christmas Tag set

When I seen this image, I had wanted to make the garland on the tree 'pop'. The Stickles gives it just the right amount of glitter and texture I was looking for. And the same with the Liquid Applique - just the right amount of texture :)

Hope you will take the time to stop and visit with the rest of the DT as well as our wonderful weekly sponsor!

Welcome crafty friends - it's time for another

This weeks challenge is:

Challenge # 296
Anything Goes

This week I got use another wonderful image from Lacy Sunshine.
As soon as I seen this image - I could hear Judy Garland singing "Somewhere Over the Rainbow". I remember watching this movie every year growing up when I was younger. As the poplar lyrics go:
"Somewhere over the rainbow, skies are blue
And the dreams that you dare to dream,
Really do come true."

So that is why I went with the "Dream" sentiment :)

I hope you like it!

FTHS September Blog Hop

Welcome to our From the Heart Stamps blog hop.

We have a Random Image Theme this month.
Our designers are each showing a project created with an image that was randomly assigned from the store.

The September Blog Hop will be our last for awhile. The team will take a break while Faith gets her treatment. When Faith is fully recovered, we will come back, but we do not know how long it will take.
During this time the blog and shop are put on hold.

If you have arrived from Lyn, you are in the right place, if not why don’t you start on the From the Heart Stamps blog, so you don’t miss anything.

When I was assigned my image, I wasn't sure how I was going to use it. It comes with a couple of sentiments and can be used so many ways.  A couple of the ladies I work with have had siblings pass away recently. I don't like making sympathy cards, even though I know it is a fact of life. So, as I never really ever have any made ahead of time, I thought I would turn this into a sympathy card.

Here is my project

Paper: My Minds Eye Miss Caroline Fiddlesticks
Color Medium: Copics
Other Supplies: Smooch Glitz Frost, Spellbinders Classic Ovals Large, Lacey Ovals  and Foliage dies, American Crafts twine in brown and sage

Thank you again for your patience and understanding. We all hope that Faith will be recovered soon and the challenges can take place as usual.

For now head over to Ruth and see what she has created.

Thanks for hopping with us today.

Michelle
