FTHS Mid Week Inspiration

Howdy - welcome to my 2nd post of the day!!
This time I am here w/From The Heart Stamps for our Mid-Week Inspiration post.

The image I am using today was part of a fundraiser for Faith's daughter ice hockey team back in August. If you donated - you were lucky enough to have gotten this image. If not, they are not in the store yet. BUT, they will be added at some point, either as clear sets or digital. So keep your eyes open!! I couldn't wait to use this adorable lil guy!! And I found the perfect paper stack to go with it as well!

Image: Fundraiser Image (not available at this time)
Paper: Bo Bunny Altitude Collection, kraft card stock
Coloring Medium: Pre-colored image as part of the Fundraiser
(not available at this time)
Other Supplies: Recollections Rhinestones, Lawn Fawn Stitched Borders & Small Stitched Rectangle Stackables dies, Distress Ink ~ Old Paper, American Crafts twine, Pearle Pen Chrome Silver, the Paper Studio Snowflake brad

I am also using the current sketch of the week as well for my inspiration, along with the twist. It might be a little hard to see, but there is "faux" stitching around the edges of the image, the snowflake DP and the multi colored DP as well. If you are like me - you like the look of stitching, but hate to drag out the machine & fuss with it. These dies are AMAZING and I love the look of them!
Also, Faith is still currently working on her Project 100 Snowmen. You can check out all the adorable and cute snowmen currently "taking" shape. These will each be available for just $1 until her project is complete. She has got some cuties out there!! Also, check out Imke's blog as she is giving away a set of these wonderful snowmen all ready made into cards!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you join us for one of our great challenges! We love to see what you create with FTHS images!

Image: Cornucopia (October Stamp of the Month)
Paper: Orange & white card stock, Debbie Mumm Harvest & Holiday
Coloring Medium: Copics, atyou Spica pens 01 Lavender, 04 Orange & 11 Gold

I always have such a hard time making clean & simple card. But I couldn't believe how fast I 'breezed' thru this one. About half way thru I went to open one of my Copic markers and it 'splattered' on the paper. I thought "Oh great, now I am going to have to start over". But then the more I looked at it I thought - hmm, I could just make this look like speckles in the background. So I used the colors from the cornucopia and speckled away....lol.  Hope you like it :)

Read the challenge rules by clicking here . This is a progressive challenge, meaning you need to play along to receive the next image for free, so be sure to read the rules so that you don’t miss out on any freebies. :) Want some FREE digi stamps? Challenge #249

It's challenge time once again at
Penny's Paper Crafty
Challenge!!

Theme - Easel Cards

It's been awhile since I have made an easel card. Not sure why I don't do them more often. I had fun making this one. And I also tried a new technique ~ dryer sheet cards. I found this wonderful tutorial on You Tube by Dawn @ Dawn's Stamping Thoughts. I know a lot of you are probably saying "This has been around for awhile now".  Well, I finally took the plunge and gave it a try.

Here's a side view of my easel card.
I just went with a very basic easel card.

And a close up so you can see the dryer sheet. Mine didn't turn quite as sparkly as hers did, but you can catch a little of the shimmer in the photos.

FTHS Mid-week Inspiration

Post #2 for the day - YAY!!

I hope you were able to join us for the recent blog hop @ FTHS.
Meet the Design Team was our theme. We introduced the new DT members and got find out some interesting facts about the whole team as well!

I based my card off this weeks sketch and I used the twist also. I tried to keep this flat and as mail friendly as I could. Which wasn't too bad - but I really wanted to "pop" something up and add some awesome bling and embellishments. But, sometimes CAS is just fine as well.

Image: Snowlady (Image was part of a fundraiser)
Paper: Kraft cardstock, the Paper Studio - Old World Winter
Coloring Medium: Distress Ink - Old Paper
Other Supplies: American Crafts twine Natural and Sage

Well, I hope I inspired you to get out there and create something. Don't forget we have both our SOTM and weekly sketch challenges going on. I hope you can join us :)

Meet the Team Blog Hop @ FTHS

Welcome to the October blog hop at From The Heart Stamps!

We have a Meet the Design Team theme this month.

We have added some new talent to our design team line up! And here is your chance to get to know them.

Each designer is showcasing a project and telling us a little bit about themselves. As you hop along, please leave a comment on each blog. One random commenter will be selected on each blog to win an image of choice from the FTHS store. And additionally, we will have a game with some prizes on the FTHS blog!

If you have arrived from Lyn, you are in the right place, if not just start on the From the Heart Stamps blog, so you don’t miss anything.

 Here is my creation!

Image: Spectacular Birdbrain (Exclusive fundraiser image)
Paper: Simple Stories Vintage Bliss
Coloring Medium: Distress Ink ~ Old Paper
Other Supplies: Smooch Glitz ~ Frost, Doodlebug dots, Glossy Accents, Lawn Fawn "A Birdie Told Me" die, Mama Elephant Tags a Lot die

I also used the current sketch challenge and twist as well.

It's hard to tell from the 1st pic, but I printed the image twice and cut out just the glasses. Then 'covered' the lens w/the Smooch Glitz, and added Glossy Accents to the eyes. Then used pop dots to give the image some depth.

So ~ here is a little bit about me
