Challenge #238

Time for our weekly challenge over at
Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenge!!

Our challenge this week is:
Theme - Use ribbon or twine

This picture reminds me of myself! I love to take photos. I recently went to 2 weddings for children of friends of mine, and took 200+ pics at both weddings! I am by no means a "professional", but I like to take pics of the things that most hired wedding photographers overlook. And it helps knowing the family also as sometimes to just happen to capture that right moment in time.

Paper: DCWV Blossoms & Butterflies
Coloring Medium: Copics
Other Supplies: American Crafts twine, blue, cream and dark blue, Michael's paper roses, American Crafts Knock Out Word bubble, Hero Arts CL141(Smile), TPC Studio gems

I hope you get a chance to stop by the rest of the DT and see what they were up to! We had some amazing images to work with this week.

Challenge #237

It's Wednesday and time for another challenge @
Challenge #237
Christmas in July

Have you started making any Christmas cards yet?
When I first started getting into digi images - I was introduced to Bugaboo stamps thru a friend. If you haven't heard of them....well, where have you been hiding (just kidding)! I just LOVE their images. And I got to use 1 of their images for my card this week!

Paper: the Paper Studio Holly Jolly w/glitter
Coloring Medium: Copics, atyou Spica pen 16 Buttermilk, Gelly Roll Clear Star pen
Other Supplies: Paper Smooches Christmas sampler (sentiment), Cheery Lynn Design branch die, Elizabeth Crafts Silk Microfine Glitter 641 Cool Diamond, Lawn Fawn Small Stitched Rectangle

This is actually the first Christmas card I made this year. It kind of has me thinking about making some. Not sure I will have anytime soon though. As I am busy making approx. 200 wedding invitations, plus trying to edit some wedding pictures from a recent wedding - YIKES! So maybe, just maybe in a couple of weeks I might get to sit down and do some serious thinking about my Christmas cards for this year.

So join us with your Christmas creation, and don't forget to stop by our awesome sponsors. You just might win one of the wonderful prizes they are giving away! We have 3 wonderful sponsors with us again this week!

Challenge #236

It's time for another challenge @
Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenge!!

Challenge #236 is:
Anything Goes

We have a wonderful sponsor this week. I got to use this wonderful lil' guy from Pink Gem Designs. I was thinking for a while on what kind of sentiment to use on here. Then it was like a lil' light bulb went off! How about an "encouragement' card ~ a you can do it/did it or something along those lines. I paper pieced his shorts & top, along with his head. But I also added a layer of pop dots to the head to give it just a little more 'depth'. A CAS card that turn out pretty nice I think :)

Paper: Kraft cardstock, My Minds Eye Follow Your Heart 6 x 6 paper pad
Coloring Medium: Pre-colored digi, Gelly Roll Clear Star pen
Other Supplies: Queen & Co Teal Epoxy Dots, Spellbinders Celebra'tions Pierced Circles die

Don't forget to stop by our blog and take a look at the rest of the DT.

Challenge #234

Welcome back for another challenge
@ Penny' Paper-Crafty Challenge!

We have 3 great sponsors this week.

I got to use this great image from Oddball Art - Sissy & Suzie Sleeps A lot.
At first I wasn't sure what sentiment to use - then all of a sudden it just came to me. I thought she was kind of sitting and looking like she was thinking of someone or something. So I decided to use the "Thinking of You" sentiment. I think it goes nicely with this image.

Card recipe:
