Challenge #258

Hi everyone!!

The DT here at Penny's Paper Crafty challenge will be taking a break until the new year. But, we hope you will find a couple of minutes in your busy holiday schedule to join us for this last challenge of 2015.

This week:
Challenge #258
Anything Goes

Since being asked to join the DT here @ Penny's - I have had the honor of getting to use some amazing images, by some really great & talented sponsors. And I have to say - Lacy Sunshine has been one of my favorites! So I was thrilled to be using another one of these wonderful images.

Paper: Kraft card stock, the Paper Studio ~ Old World Winter
Coloring Medium: Copics
Other Supplies: Smooch Glitz ~ Frost, Distress Ink ~ Antique Linen, Memento Ink ~ Rich Cocoa, Range Enamel Accents ~ White, Stickles ~ Crystal, Paper Smooches ~ Christmas Sampler (sentiment) Memory Box Stitched Rectangle Layers Die, Spellbinders Celebrations Pierced Circles die, Cheery Lane ~ B146 Pine Branches die, Recollections Bling

I knew right away that I wanted to keep w/traditional Christmas colors. And this wonderful paper pack I have from the Paper Studio works so well with the "old world" feel. I used just a little bit of the Smooch Glitz on the pine branches and roses to give it just a little shimmer. To make it look like just a little dusting of snow on them. And when going thru my holiday sentiments, I came across this one and it works perfectly!

Please make sure and check out the rest of the DT and see what they have been up to :) And of course - as always our AMAZING sponsors for whom we could not do this without!

Prize - 7 digi images of winners choice

and

Prize -3 digi images of winners choice

Well.....I hope you have a safe and wonderful holiday season!!
Please join us in 2016 for some more FUN!!

Thanks,

Michelle

Challenge #256

Happy December!!

Where did fall go? LOL
Can't believe only a couple weeks till Christmas.

Well, it's time again for another challenge @ Penny's!

Challenge #256
Anything Goes

I got to use this adorable image from Imagine That..digis by Kris

This image has ENDLESS possibilities! Perfect for paper piecing - which I did on the 2 birds on the outsides. Just to give them a little more 'pop'. Or you could just paper piece the hats with a fun DP! Color the birds all the same, but give them different hats! Snow or no snow in the background....I could go on and on!! I added snowflakes to coordinate with my background.

I always tell myself "NO MORE paper pads"! But on a recent trip to Michaels, along w/their awesome 20% off sale & regular price items -
I just had to have this paper pad!

Paper: Recollection ~ Cozy Lodge Christmas
Coloring Medium:  Copics, atyou Spica pens 03 Red, 05 Lemon,
12 Silver, 21 Lipstick, Gelly Roll Clear Star pen
Other Supplies: Memory box Stitched Rectangle Layers die, Stickles ~ Star Dust, Recollections Gems, Doodlebug Designs ~ Sprinkles in Lilly White, and bakers twine, Martha Stewart Alpine & Arctic snowflake punches

I hope you enjoyed my card today! We really hope you stop on by and check out the rest of the DT as well! Some great ideas!

FTHS Mid-Week Inspiration

Time for another inspirational post at From The Heart Stamps!

So, how are you doing on your Christmas cards? Me? Well, I have a few started, but really need to get on them. I am hoping this long weekend to get caught up on a few things. Like the sentiment says:

The holidays are always so HECTIC!!!
Ahhh, deep breath....I can do this :)

Here is my card for this week. I incorporated the weekly sketch challenge as well into my card. And this is my first time making a cloud background behind my image. I watched a couple of tutorials on YouTube and decided to give it a shot. I just thought he needed something going on behind him. The clouds turned out ok for my first time. I will keep trying - practice makes perfect RIGHT!

Image: Deck The Halls Birdbrain
Paper: American Crafts ~ Merrymint

What I used from my stash was my Stickles, Snowflakes and Pearl pen. I have a small box full of Stickles and always seem to forget about using them. As well as a couple of pearl pens in a few different colors. And then my snowflakes. I always punch out a bunch ahead of time and them grab them as I need them. FTHS Mid-Week Inspiration

Welcome to another mid-week inspiration post @ FTHS!

This week I used one of Faith's Project 100 Snowmen. This little cutie is No 7 in the Project 100 collection. Also, one of the wonderful DT gals Imke has a giveaway going on right now. Hop over to her Blog and tell her which of Faith´s Snowmen is your favorite so far. The winner will be announced on Friday November 20th on Imke´s blog

Here is my creation. At first I wasn't sure I wanted to do this week twist along with the sketch. Lots of white is along the same line as CAS cards for me. I struggle a little as I always want to add something more! But I do have to say I kinda like how this one turned out. So clean and 'crisp' looking, but yet a little on the elegant side.

Image: Snowman Greeting
Paper: White cardstock
Coloring Medium: Copics
Other Supplies: Recollections Gems, Lawn Fawn Small Stitched Rectangle Stackable die

Don't forget to hop over to Imke's blog and check out her giveaway!
And join us for either our weekly sketch challenge or SOTM challenge.

We love seeing your creations!

Challenge #254

Wednesday and time for another challenge @ Penny's!!

Challenge #254
Anything Goes

Bugaboo was one of the first digi's that I got into. I had this one in my stash just waiting to use it. And I thought the DP with all the circles look liked bubbles like on the digi! So I kind of kept 'rolling' with the theme (round glitter dots, round border punch, buttons). I also paper pieced & added pop dots to the sentiment and the fish to make them 'pop' a little more. And when applying the Glossy Accents on the eyes, I tried to flatten it out more. Then when I did the bubbles, I tried to round them more like actual bubbles. It's hard to see on here but it turn out pretty well!

Paper: My Mind's Eye PartyTime by Christy Lyle, blue cardstock

FTHS Mid Week Inspiration

Howdy - welcome to my 2nd post of the day!!
This time I am here w/From The Heart Stamps for our Mid-Week Inspiration post.

The image I am using today was part of a fundraiser for Faith's daughter ice hockey team back in August. If you donated - you were lucky enough to have gotten this image. If not, they are not in the store yet. BUT, they will be added at some point, either as clear sets or digital. So keep your eyes open!! I couldn't wait to use this adorable lil guy!! And I found the perfect paper stack to go with it as well!

Image: Fundraiser Image (not available at this time)
Paper: Bo Bunny Altitude Collection, kraft card stock
Coloring Medium: Pre-colored image as part of the Fundraiser
(not available at this time)
Other Supplies: Recollections Rhinestones, Lawn Fawn Stitched Borders & Small Stitched Rectangle Stackables dies, Distress Ink ~ Old Paper, American Crafts twine, Pearle Pen Chrome Silver, the Paper Studio Snowflake brad

I am also using the current sketch of the week as well for my inspiration, along with the twist. It might be a little hard to see, but there is "faux" stitching around the edges of the image, the snowflake DP and the multi colored DP as well. If you are like me - you like the look of stitching, but hate to drag out the machine & fuss with it. These dies are AMAZING and I love the look of them!
Also, Faith is still currently working on her Project 100 Snowmen. You can check out all the adorable and cute snowmen currently "taking" shape. These will each be available for just $1 until her project is complete. She has got some cuties out there!! Also, check out Imke's blog as she is giving away a set of these wonderful snowmen all ready made into cards!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you join us for one of our great challenges! We love to see what you create with FTHS images!
