Father's Day X 3

This Father's day was quite fun!! I am very blessed to have 3 dads - my dad (Earl), my husband's dad (Paul) and my husband's step-dad (Don). They all are very passionate about certain things, so it was pretty easy to design a card to fit each of them. My dad spent time in both the Navy & the Coast Guard and loves lighthouse. My fathers-in-laws - both love to fish. SO.... I had a great time designing the cards. I hope you enjoy them as much as they did.

"Tweet Friend" Stamp and Sentiment Set

I can't believe I have another of Faith's challenges done early...lol! This weeks freebie is entitled "Tweet Friend". Faith has given us this cute little bird and a couple of different sentiments to go along with it. I choose the "Tweet Friend" saying as I know of a couple of great friends who just might get this card. I decided to cut out the bird and a few of the leaves and put dimensionals on them to make them "pop" on the card. If you haven't yet - check out Faith's page http://www.designed2delight.com/ - she has alot of awesome digi stamps and other ideas on her site. I really enjoy working with her designs. Please feel free to comment or just 'drop' by and say hi! Til next time : )

"Mice Wishes"

Another FABULOUS image this week from Faith at Designed 2 Delight. This week's challenge is entitled "Mice Wishes". I can't believe how early I have this one done this week...lol. Again, I opted for my color pencils and then added some Stickles as the frosting on the cupcake, and the good ol' Gelly Roll Clear Star pen for the "sparks" on the candle. If you are looking for some great digi stamps - please head on over to Faith's site - it is the BEST! http://designed2delight.blogspot.com/

Graduation~2010

It's that time of year again!! Graduation parties everywhere you turn!! My nephew just yesterday graduated from Lincoln H.S. in Manitowoc. The school's 'logo' is a ship's anchor with the M for Manitowoc. They are nicknamed - The Ships - as shipbuilding was the big business in the town years back. The school colors are black, red & white - so I used the various colors and textures of that on the card. I also colored in the anchor with my Gelly Roll Clear Star pen - I am really lovin' this pen. It gives a shimmer to the project without sticking out like a sore thumb. Subtle, but brilliant at the same time. Well, I had best get back to work - I have a few more cards to make and a party yet to attend. Bye for now!

Wedding card

Card I made for a wedding a few weeks back. I actually did all the invitations for this wedding as well - 190 of them!!! And the programs too. It was quite the task - but I also had alot of fun doing it as well. I will post the invitation & program pics soon.

Birthday cards - Nephew

Recent card I made for a nephew who will be graduating from high school tomorrow. Great job Brandon!!

Birthday cards - Son

This is the recent card that I made for my son's 24th birthday. He is very much into racing so I came up with this design. I took my gray cardstock and ran it thru my Cuttlebug - not quite sure of the design template - but it looks like a diamond steel plate. I then used my Perfect Pearls silver over the top to give it a shimmering effect. Then added the checkered flag ribbon and some black & white circles - that kinda reminded me of tires.

I'm Back

I tried so hard last week to complete the designed2delight challenge, but fell a little short : ( I had a rummage sale and it took up quite a bit more time than I had anticipated. But anyway....this week I am back and last minute as usual. This weeks digi stamp from Faith is entitled "Potted Flowers". How fitting for this time of year!! I have been potting my flowers here as well and found this one quite fun to do. I also tried out my new Adobe Photoshop Elements program which I recently purchased. Still figuring out how to use all the great things on it - but for now I just settled on "coloring" in my design. I then cut it out and used dimensionals again to 'pop' it up on the card. And, I can't wait to see all the beautiful butterflies soon, so I added one to my card. If you get a minute - go check out Faith's site - http://digital-stamps.designed2delight.com - you will love it as much as I do. Thanks again Faith!!
